Mocha moving towards Cox’s Bazar at 13kmph: IMD

The very severe cyclonic storm Mocha was moving at a speed of 13km per hour towards Cox's Bazar this morning, according to the India Meteorological Department.

The IMD said this in its latest update on Mocha based on the data collected at 9:00am Bangladesh time.

The cyclone was 950 kilometres south-southwest from Cox's Bazar at that time, the IMD added.

From Myanmar's Sittwe, it was 870 km south-southwest, the tropical weather outlook also stated.
