SSC exams for May 14, 15 under 6 boards postponed
The government today postponed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations slated for Monday (May 15) under six education boards Chattogram, Cumilla, Barishal, Jashore, technical, and madrasa education boards due to the incoming Cyclone Mocha.
Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar, chief of the inter-education board coordination committee, announced the decision today, adding the exams under Jashore education board slated for May 14 will also be postponed.
Earlier, the authorities yesterday postponed SSC and equivalent examinations slated for May 14 under five education boards Chattogram, Cumilla, Barishal, technical, and madrasa education boards.
Tapan, also chairman of Dhaka Education Board, said that they would announce the next date for the exam later.
"We will continue the exams in the other boards as each board has separate question papers," he said.
Students of general education boards will need to take home economics, agriculture studies, Arabic, sanskrit and others on May 15. There are no exams for madrasa and technical boards for that day.
Students of the general education board were scheduled to sit for physics, history, and finance exams on May 14. Technical students were set to take physics while madrasa students were set to take English first paper exam.
