A mild cold wave is sweeping over Dinajpur and Panchagarh and it may spread over some places across the country, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said today.

BMD today recorded Dinajpur's minimum temperature at 9.2 degrees Celsius, which is also the country's lowest temperature for the day.

Additionally, the minimum temperature in Panchagarh's Tetulia was recorded at 9.7 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, Dhaka's minimum temperature was 15.4 degrees Celsius.

In its latest weather bulletin this morning, BMD said that temperatures may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius tonight, and day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country.

In the 24 hours commencing at 9:00am today, the weather is expected to remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

However, moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to morning, and it may continue till noon in some areas.

Due to the thick fog, air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication may be temporarily disrupted.
