Experienced and skilled Dental & Maxillofacial Surgery Consultants can bring back your smiles and eating delights at an affordable cost!

Mrs Rukhsana Khan teaches Zoology in a private college in Narayanganj. At forty two she is facing lots of problems not being able to eat properly. On several occasions, because of various dental conditions, all of her molar teeth had to be removed. The molar teeth are the most posterior teeth in humans; adult humans have twelve molar teeth, in four groups of three at the back of the mouth. She previously had denture prosthesis made to replace her molars, which unfortunately she found to be very uncomfortable as those were ill-fitting and unsteady. She was desperate for a better solution.

She went to visit her brother in a family trip to Thailand where he is working as an Engineer in a construction company. She consulted with Dental and Maxillofacial surgeons in hospitals in Thailand for her problem; they advised her to get dental implant prostheses. The high cost of treatment and lengthy recovery time was disappointing for her as she couldn’t afford to spend so much money staying for such long time abroad. Rukhsana eventually accepted her fate of bearing this pain and uncomfortable feeling not being able to chew and eat food properly. Considering the cost and complexity, she decided to steer clear of getting dental implants.

Common facts about Dental Implant are:

  • An implant is a second permanent tooth. An artificial replacement root made of a special bio-compatible material (titanium), which is implanted into the jawbone over which a crown is fixed.
  • It is highly similar to a natural tooth in terms of looks, feel, withstanding chewing forces.
  • It is one of the most reliable of all dental restorations and very comfortable for the patient practicing any typical daily activities such as biting, brushing, swallowing.
  • The implant lasts a minimum 30 years to a whole lifespan.
  • The procedure is simple and painless as done under local anaesthesia.
  • The chances of any complications are unlikely as there are very little risk factors (each case varies).

One day in a social gathering, one of her friends informed her to visit Dental & Maxillofacial Surgery Department of a renowned hospital in Dhaka, which is Internationally Accredited. Upon her visit with the Consultant, she was provided with an in-depth Consultation about the entire procedure, required time, costs and expected outcome. To utter surprise of Rukhsana, she found out the total procedure cost to be much more reasonable here than abroad though this itself is an International Standard hospital competing with global hospitals. Further Rukhsana thought about the foreign travel cost she can save by doing this procedure in her own city; she hung on to her new found hope; she started her treatment in this hospital.

All the missing molar teeth were replaced by dental implant prostheses successfully by the Consultant of Dental & Maxillofacial department of the hospital. During her treatment, Rukhsana was amazed seeing the level of cleanliness and infection control protocol this hospital practices in dental procedures! Unlike many other dental centres in the country, this hospital uses disposable items during procedure and all the equipments and dressing materials are sterilized from hospital’s central sterilization area.

Today Rukhsana talks about her experience to all her colleagues and friends speaking with confidence, exuding and stating her excitement being able to eat heartily again. She is once again all smiles.

Experienced and skilled Consultants can bring back your smiles and proper eating delights, in an Internationally Accredited hospital in your city! The affordable cost with which the dental prostheses implant will be done is an added delight!
