Four more test positive for coronavirus in Munshiganj

Four more people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Munshiganj, raising the total number in the district to 18, according to the district's civil surgeon.

Civil Surgeon Dr Abul Kalam Azad said they sent the samples of 23 people on Sunday and four of them --three males and one female -- were found to be positive for coronavirus.

They include a 60-year-old vegetable vendor hailing from Sadar upazila; a 54-year-old pharmacist; and a 55-year-old housewife in Gazaria upazila; and a 27-year-old in Sirajdikhan upazila.  

"So far, we've received test results of 128 people and found 18 of them positive in the district," Dr Azad said.

Fifteen of them were sent to hospitals for treatment while two others are in quarantine at their respective homes.  

The samples of 147 people have so far been collected in the district and they were yet to receive the test results of 19 people, the civil surgeon added.
