Nature quest: ETERNAL PURPLE PATCH

A male purple sunbird perches on a tree near Government Azizul Haque College in Bogura town recently. Their vibrant, almost electric plumage, makes the birds hard to miss. Although they can be mistaken for another species, once they lift their head and the sunlight bounces off the purple under their neck, one knows for sure what they have spotted.
