Habiganj DC tests Covid-19 positive, placed in home quarantine

Deputy Commissioner of Habiganj district Md Kamrul Hasan has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been placed in home quarantine.

Habiganj district's Civil Surgeon Dr AKM Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the development today, reports our Moulvibazar correspondent.

"DC Kamrul Hasan's test report came positive yesterday from the IEDCR in Dhaka. He informed us in this regard today and has been placed in home quarantine, while another sample from him has been sent to the lab of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital today for further test," Dr Mostafizur said.

With this, a total of 75 people, including 37 government officials comprising doctors, administration officials, magistrates, among others, have been found positive for coronavirus in the district till 7:30pm today, said Habiganj Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Mukhlesur Rahman.
