Health complex in Habiganj closed after doctor, nurses test Covid-19 positive
Habiganj's Lakhai Upazila Health Complex was declared closed today after a doctor and two nurses of the hospital tested positive with coronavirus.
Dr Anisur Rahman, assistant director (disease control) of Sylhet divisional health office confirmed the matter to our Moulvibazar correspondent.
The infected doctor and nurses of the health complex remain under isolation while other doctors and nurses have been asked to stay in home quarantine, he said.
"We will take samples from other healthcare officials of the hospital. If the tests of the samples come negative, we will take initiative to open the health complex," said Anisur.
Ten people were identified as coronavirus patients in different upazilas of Habiganj last night, said the official.
The doctor and two nurses of Lakhai Upazila Health Complex are among the 10, he said.
Meanwhile, two union parishads of Baniachang upazila of Habiganj were declared locked down after three people were identified as coronavirus patients in the two unions, said Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Mamun Khandaker.
The three infected people are among the 10 people, who tested positive with Covid-19 last night, he said.
