3 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours, positivity rate 15.47%

Three people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,145 and the death rate stands at 1.48 percent.

At least 2,087 new Covid-19 cases were recorded during the period.

The current positivity rate is 15.47 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.75 percent.

Meanwhile, with the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 19,69,361, added the release.

A total of 13,489 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 200 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,07,067 and the recovery rate at 96.84 percent, said the release.

Among the two deceased, one was a man and two were women. Of them, one was between 51-60, one was between 61-70 and another was 71-80 years old, added the release.
