4 Covid deaths in 24 hours

At least 2,183 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Four deaths from Covid-19 were reported during this period, raising the death toll from the disease to 29,149.

The Covid-19 death rate at the moment is 1.48 percent.

The current positivity rate is 15.70 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.76 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 19,73,785, added the release.

A total of 14,712 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 290 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,07,509 and the recovery rate at 96.64 percent, added the release.
