Covid on the rise: 68 cases reported in 24 hrs, positivity rate 7.64%

At least 68 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in last 24 hours till 8:00am today.

The positivity rate rose to 7.64 percent today from yesterday's 6.11 percent, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A total of 890 samples were tested across the country during this period.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,39,639, added the release.

With no deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country stands at 29,448.

At least 26 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 20,06,357 and the recovery rate stands at 98.37 percent, added the release.
