Rise in Covid-19 cases: 109 recorded in 24 hours

At least 109 new Covid-19 infections were recorded during 24 hours till 8am today, which took the total number of Covid cases to 19,54,115, according to a DGHS release.

No Covid-19 deaths were reported in the 24 hours, said Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,131 and the mortality rate is 1.49 percent.

The current positivity rate is 2.06 percent and the total positivity rate stands at 13.78 percent, added the press release.

A total of 5,280 samples were tested across the country during this time.

At least 91 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,05,266 and the recovery rate at 97.50 percent, added the release.
