1 dies of Covid, 197 new cases

One more Covid-19 death was recorded in the last 24 hours till 8:00am today.

In the meantime, at least 197 new Covid-19 cases were recorded, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 6.43 percent while the total positivity rate is so far 13.22 percent.

A total of 3,065 samples were tested across the country.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,39,911, and the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country stands at 29,451.

At least 42 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 20,06,437 and the recovery rate stands at 98.36 percent, added the release.
