Central oxygen supply inaugurated in Pabna General Hospital

Central oxygen supply was inaugurated today at Pabna General Hospital for Covid patients.
Lawmaker of Pabna-5 constituency, Golam Faruk Khandaker, inaugurated the oxygen supply in presence of health officials today, reports our correspondent.
Golam Faruq said that many critical patients were sent elsewhere in this difficult situation due to a lack of central oxygen supply at the hospital.
"Local patients will now be able to get treatment here, thanks to the introduction of central oxygen supply, which will play a significant role in the district's health services," he added.
Dr KM Abu Zafar, assistant director of Pabna General Hospital, told The Daily Star that the liquid oxygen container for Pabna General Hospital's newly constructed central oxygen supply was refilled last night. The hospital's central oxygen supply has been turned on since then.
The hospital's Covid treatment will be accelerated with the addition of a central oxygen supply. Patients in crisis can now be treated, and an unused ICU unit at the hospital can be set up, according to Dr Zafar.
Hospital's central oxygen supply was completed in the first week of last month but could not be inaugurated due to a shortage of liquid oxygen, according to hospital sources.
