Dengue claims two more lives

Two more dengue patients died while 360 others were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till yesterday morning.

The total number of deaths in dengue rose to 38 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) while the number of dengue cases rose to 5,924.

Some 1,300 patients are still undergoing treatment while 4,586 were released from hospitals; of them.

Meanwhile, DSCC yesterday fined owners of various structures Tk 75,000 in Dhanmondi, North South Road, Bongshal, Lalbagh, Wapda Colony and Muradpur.

Mobile courts of DSCC visited 205 houses and structures and found Aedes mosquito larvae at 11 houses and under-construction buildings.

Besides, DNCC Mayor Md Atiqul Islam urged all to remain cautious and aware.
