Dengue testing fees to remain Tk 50 in govt hospitals
The government has extended the current fixed pricing for dengue tests at public hospitals for an additional six months.
The NS1, IgG, and IgM tests can be conducted at the previously set prices until December 31 at Tk 50 each, according to a circular of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issued today.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The DGHS set the prices for dengue tests at government hospitals on January 14 this year, which were effective till June 30. This period has now been extended till December 31.
Similarly, on July 28, 2019, the DGHS fixed the prices for dengue tests at private hospitals. The same rates were reiterated today through another circular issued by the DGHS.
According to the price list, NS1, IgG, and IgM tests at private hospitals will remain Tk 300 each, while the CBC (Complete Blood Count) test will cost Tk 400.
