One person died from dengue while 114 others were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till yesterday morning.

With the latest, the death toll rose to 573 while the number of cases reached 1,01,130, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.

Currently, 655 dengue patients are undergoing treatment across the country. Of them, 384 are from outside Dhaka.

A total of 99,902 patients have so far been released throughout the country.

As Bangladesh braces for another year with the threat of dengue looming, experts have urged the government to adopt comprehensive and year-round strategies to curb the spread of the mosquito-borne disease.
