EC paying no heed to violation of electoral law by govt: Rizvi

BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today alleged that the Election Commission is paying no heed to the government’s violation of the electoral code of conduct but it is continuing to repress BNP.

“The Election Commission is indifferent to the government advertisements at different ministries ahead of the upcoming elections,” Rizvi said at a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan Central office.

On completion of the sale of Awami League’s nomination papers, the EC is imposing bar on BNP activities to obstruct its supporters as per the government’s instruction, he said.
