MasterChef Australia contestant Kishwar Chowdhury back in Dhaka

The gifted chef, Kishwar Chowdhury, has just arrived in Dhaka on March 16, after bagging the 2nd runner up position at the MasterChef Australia Season 13. The talented chef has been invited to Bangladesh by the Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation (DBF), a visionary institution founded by Durjoy Rahman, supporting all kinds of artists and art forms including the culinary delights of South Asia and beyond.

"I am here on a unique proposition by DBF and will be introducing a private menu to the Dhaka crowd, anticipating the experience to be enticing," said Kishwar.

Even though she is expected to leave soon, Kishwar hopes to utilise the entire week creatively, visiting nostalgic food locations and visiting new restaurants and culinary spaces within the city.
"I must have fuchka, chotpoti and ilish mach bhaji at the Mawa Ghat before I leave. I simply cannot go before experiencing all these grand encounters," she added enthusiastically.

When asked about her upcoming cook-book specialising in Bengali recipes, she said, "Well, it's going great, I need to visit Bangladesh a few times more on research purposes, before its actually complete."

Few months ago, the entire country was overflowing with her praise. Everywhere from the road side 'chai-er-adda' to the upscale get-togethers there was just one-name pulsating amongst the residents and it was none other than Kishwar Chowdhury's - our very own Bangladeshi- Australian MasterChef making names in the world gastronomic arena. It's as if she lit up the entire culinary world with her exhibition of the scrumptious Bangladeshi cuisine.
