Promoting Gender Equality by KrayonMag
'Aspire to Inspire,' a campaign initiated by KrayonMag, a social storytelling platform, had been developed last year to give courage to the women in Bangladesh, to be able to prioritise their hopes and dreams over any sort of obstacles. In episode one, women from various fields of the society came forward to tell their stories and encourage the masses to stay motivated regarding their visions and goals. This year keeping the same ideology in mind, Tanziral Dilshad Ditan, founder and CEO of KrayonMag, arranged for a second episode of the same campaign, with the title 'Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow,' this time incorporating 'the men' in the discussions.
Rafsan Sabab, a renowned content creator of the country provided an inspiring video message for the campaign, in the short length video, he appreciated the three most important female figures in his life and acknowledged their contributions to making the world a better place for everyone around them. Amongst other renowned names giving out encouraging messages to their female companions were Taeeb Ananto, Sports Reporter; Ahsan Bhuiyan, founder of Poriborton Kori Foundation; Mithun Das Kabbo, founder and CIO Volunteer Opportunities; Jaber Ubaed, founder and President of Bangladesh Youth Initiative; Iresh Zaker, DMD Asiatic 360; Md. Tajdin Hassan, CMO Daraz; Jon Kabir, media personality, and Ghulam Sumdany Don, Chief Inspirational Officer at Don Sumdany Facilitation.
Don Sumdany requested the nation to work hand in hand, (men and women together), for an accelerated economic progress of the society. He also mentioned that everything a man could do, a woman could possibly do it better. And prehistoric thought processes regarding 'women's powerlessness' needed to be discarded once and for all, to be able to start afresh towards building a progressive society.
Both the campaigns, were scheduled during March 8 to highlight the Women's Day, through addressing topics that are time-appropriate and essential, for women's welfare in the society.
