Re-Pop: A sustainable travel closet sale organized by Wander Woman

Wander Woman, a renowned travelling platform, organized the event Re-Pop: Travel Closet Sale from 16 to 17 June at the premises of Moar in Gulshan, Dhaka, where various brands and resellers took part in promoting sustainable fashion by bringing in their pre loved dresses that would find new destinations.

Re-Pop, termed by the organizers as the first of its kind event in the country, has introduced a concept that really made a mark on fashion enthusiasts who want to make conscious choices. That's why, instead of focusing on new clothes, the event brought together people who go by the principle of reduce, reuse and recycle, and encouraged the resale of slightly used clothing. By doing so, Re-Pop is making a conscious effort to minimise the negative effects of fast fashion and encouraging individuals to go for a sustainable refresh of their wardrobes.

This is especially relevant when you are a travel enthusiast and buy clothes for certain trips in mind, only for them to be stored in your closet and completely forgetting about them! So, Re-Pop presented the perfect opportunity for women travellers in need for suitable clothing for their next trip, at an affordable budget.

The event featured six resellers and five brands, including Pixels, Seven Days Note, Azza, Madness, and Ms Katachamoch. Each of the participants at the event brought a diverse range of pre loved fashion wears that captivated the visitors who were eager to explore the various collections at offer.

With Moar as the venue and Nescafe as the beverage partner, Re-Pop catered to more than hundreds of visitors for their two-day event, which highlights a growing interest among the fashionistas, especially the ones who love to travel, the need to procure clothing that's good for the wallet, and helps the environment altogether. There was also a donation booth where people could donate their pre loved clothes to NGO's.
