National Museum hosts Syed Abdullah Khalid’s works
Sculptor, Syed Abdullah Khalid is an unforgettable presence in the artistic community of Bangladesh. He is the man behind 'Aparajeyo Bangla', created between 1973 and 79, which is one of the most iconic sculptures in our country's history. The Ekushey Padak winner artist was also adept with brush and paint.
Honouring his life and work, the National Museum in Dhaka is hosting a solo exhibition of the late artist's paintings. This is also a valiant attempt in recognising Khalid's presence as a world renowned artistic entity. The exhibition also highlights the artist's personal collection of watches, glasses, coins and collectibles. Still photographs and videos are also part of the exhibition.
Interested visitors can visit the display from 4 November to 13 November, 2019 at the National Museum, Dhaka.
