Radisson Blu observes Earth Day

The movement continues. Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden strode with pride on Earth Day, celebrated on 22 April, 2016by more than a billion people across the globe. Recently upgraded to being silver certified by EarthCheck, the hotel continues its momentum to build an eco-friendly abode for its valued guests by organising various awareness programmes and implementing carbon remission activities. Tree plantation, double side printing, linen re-use, rain water harvesting and recycling vegetable waste are a few of the many steps which are executed by the hotel on a regular basis. 

Committed to becoming better citizens of the planet, Earth Day was lined with a string of activities which consisted of heads of departments replacing halogen bulbs with LED bulbs(1393 50W Halogen bulbs were substituted by 5W LED bulbs which will result in power savings of Tk173084.40per month), 'busy bee cleaning spree',reduced usage of heavy machineries and an unique contest where guests and employees were encouraged to submit ideas which were put up on an idea board. The best idea was rewarded a grand prize of an extravagant dinner for two at the hotel's popular Water Garden Brasserie, won by a guest.
