A bright COLOURFUL affair

In the festive winter season, the newlyweds are the happiest. While they embark on a new chapter of their lives together, they want to look and feel perfect in the days after their wedding celebrations. Their glowing aura should be reflected not only in their faces, but also in their entire wedding trousseau. Having said that - a happy bride, is the prettiest; and it certainly is the motto of the wedding season. Here we discuss a few looks for the new bride, and colours that would suit her after the main event is done with.
DAZZLING DIVA IN BLACK They say black is never meant for the newly married. We beg to differ. Midnight blue, champagne, and even jet black are sophisticated colours for the new bride, giving out an extra glow, as expected. If you are not bold enough, then the darker hues can be used as second or third saris, which is worn at family functions, or a special get-together between friends. Black, considered a classic in the world of fashion, will always highlight the wearer. So, a combination of blood red lipstick and maroon red stilettos with the raven sari, only helps to turn all the heads in a room, and if that’s not a compliment, we don’t know what is!
THE CRIMSON OF OUR TRADITION A traditional crimson red is forever in style. It’s gorgeous, and part of our culture. The colour itself is associated with love and passion; it’s also regarded auspicious by many. A newly married girl in shades of red is indeed a graceful one, and this beautiful colour can be styled in different manners, from heavy embroidery work to light karchupi, nothing ever fails the many hues of wonderful red. Chiffon, jamdani, georgette saris, and even shalwar suits can be perfect. Red and gold are the ultimate wedding combo. Intricate gold ornaments with red truly beautify any woman including the new bride. So, if you are tying the knot this season, remember that ‘rosy red’ is everyone’s favourite!
A FLAMINGO PAT We cannot possibly imagine subtle tones without contemplating flamingo pink. Nothing beats a subtle-pink; clichéd as it may sound, it’s every girl’s dream colour. A flamingo pink is both feminine and festive. It brightens up the mood for any occasion, and fills it with joy. The radiance portrayed by the pastel shade can be manifested all on its own; combined with intricate laces, frills and floral imprints — the end result is simply majestic.
A SPRING GREEN ATTIRE Spring green is bright, lively, and exuberant. Its vibrance is enough to brighten up any occasion. A new bride is under the spotlight and gets all the attention after the nuptials, and a bright, bold green completely guarantees that too. Spring green is simply a colour of joy and could not be more perfect for wedding ceremonies. Traditionally associated with new beginnings, peace, and happiness, it is now a beautiful option for ‘gaye holud’ events apart from the obvious yellows. The combination of beautiful green tones with gorgeous golds look seamless while maintaining all the glamour. Instead of going for heavy works, spring green makes even the simplest of materials look elegant. Paired with bolder colours in jewel tones such as maroon and red, spring green looks the most resplendent.
BEAUTIFUL BLUES Nothing screams ‘a beautiful belle’ more than colours like powder blue, ultramarine, or indigo. To simplify the context, a new bride must include the coveted colours in her wedding trousseau. Just to be on the safe side, she must know the exact shade of blue that suits her skin tone. After that’s done, it is only compliments all the way. A newlywed woman is the most special, on the way to having the most magical time of her life. And all the colours surrounding her should imbue the preciousness of every moment. The brightness of her attire will fill her heart with joy, while making her radiate throughout the ceremony, and after.
