Donation for a smile in return
For a massive proportion of the population, winter means enduring a series of hardships and miseries. While we go on with living our lives in the comfort of our snug homes, there are many who cannot afford even a day's meal adequately, let alone buy proper winter wear. So instead of stacking up those extra blankets and clothes that do not fit you anymore, give them away to a needy family. Your donation, no matter how big or small, can bring a smile to the face of someone who is in dire need of it somewhere and make their life a little less difficult to live.
JAAGO FOUNDATION
Since its establishment in 2007, Jaago has grown and spread out extensively, with volunteers working in 32 different districts of the nation. They had recently arranged a badminton tournament to raise funds for warm clothes distribution to the underprivileged. Furthermore, Jaago's youth development wing, Volunteer for Bangladesh, will be organising a clothing drive in January and will be accepting any form of donation for the deprived.

BORN TO SMILE
Like every year, Born to Smile will be hosting its annual winter project called 'Winter Man' in January. Blankets are the most ideal item for donation and will be collected from donors through various activities. Moreover, Imran Khan, the CEO and founder, also disclosed plans to divide the collected number of blankets equally among two primary groups — the deprived habitants of Panchagarh, and Rohingya refugees.

DURNIBAR FOUNDATION
Durnibar has been organising clothing drives since 2012, and this year Durnibar Foundation intends to go big on donations with partnerships with a handful of English medium schools.
"We hope to distribute over 10,000 clothes and blankets across remote areas in the northern part of Bangladesh," informed Azman Anju Khan Chowdhury, the CEO and founder of the organisation.
Durnibar Foundation is located at House 27B, 2nd Floor, Road 9A, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Call #01868369301 or #01868369302 for donations. You may also access them through social media: www.facebook.com/DurnibarFoundation
PROJECT KOMBOL
Besides acting as a solid intermediary between groups leading clothing drives and those who need the donations the most, Project Kombol is also taking individual giveaways from donors. Distributions will be carried out with the assistance of local NGOs, focusing on the Rohingyas and inhabitants of certain remote areas of Bangladesh. You can donate blankets mainly (clothes can be an exception, depending on the type and quantity of the item) and don't forget to check that they are of high quality so that the recipients can use them for a long time. In addition to this, a meagre contribution of Tk 300 only can ensure a warm blanket for a person in despair and make his/her winter more bearable!
