Foodpanda completes three
In December 2013, Foodpanda Bangladesh started its journey with just 5 employees. The goal was to simplify the life of customers by making food delivery as convenient and affordable as possible. The Foodpanda app is the ultimate solution for users to order take-away from the best selection of restaurants around them in three simple steps. After three years in operation, Foodpanda currently employs more than 200 highly motivated and dedicated employees who are constantly striving to offer the best food delivery experience for its users. Foodpanda initially started its operations in Dhaka, and soon after, expanded to Chittagong and Sylhet, with more than 700 plus vendors on its portal.
Foodpanda Bangladesh continues to grow strongly with more than 300,000 app downloads and 100 percent revenue growth year on year.
They have introduced a separate platform exclusively for corporate users. Foodpanda will launch its corporate product with its first client at the beginning of the New Year. Looking ahead to the next year, Ambareen Reza, Co-founder, foodpanda, aims to further invest in technology to continuously improve its delivery operations, restaurant operations and the overall customer experience. Furthermore, she mentioned that after establishing market leadership in food delivery in Bangladesh, it aims to expand to new areas and drive growth from all avenues.
As part of Foodpanda's third birthday celebrations, the company is holding a month-long campaign called 'Deals of the Day' where it is offering for its users best deals from top restaurants in Dhaka. Also, Foodpanda recently partnered with Bangkok Airways. Customers placing the highest number of orders on Foodpanda during the period of December 2016 to February 2017 can win two return tickets to Bangkok, each month of the campaign.
