Dhaka witnessed a night of glitz and glamour on 10 December, 2016 as The French Gala Evening was hosted at the rooftop of a renowned hotel, with utmost fervour and liveliness. The evening was graced with eminent dignitaries from all over the world, and from a local point of view, it was made remarkable by the presence of the eminent designer, Bibi Russell and her fashion queue. 

Famous for branding the 'checkered print' and bringing it to the global limelight, Bibi Russell choreographed a 'deshi' fashion show highlighting the month of liberation and the colours of Bengal.

Many other designers took part in the fashion show like Nashra's design, Ethical Grace, Beximco Ltd. etc, exhibiting unique and contemporary fashion wear to the guests. A classical dance performance by Minu Haque's team followed. 

The lively event was concluded by live French music and delectable French cuisine.
