PRIDE Limited Turns 25 and Honours 15 Outstanding Women of Bangladesh
Pride Limited celebrated their 25-year anniversary at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel Dhaka on 21 January.
Honourable Speaker of National Parliament, People's Republic of Bangladesh, Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Dr. Dipu Moni, Honourable Member of Parliament, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and Tasmima Hossain, Editor-in-Chief of Anannya - The Fortnightly Magazine, were present as well.
At the event, Pride recognised 15 women upholding Bangladesh from different sectors of development. In light of their excellent contribution to their respective communities, Pride Limited presented the award 'Pride of Bangladesh' to each of them. The distinguished award winners are Geeteara Safiya Choudhury, Chairperson, Adcomm Limited ; Sonia Bashir Kabir, Managing Director, Microsoft Bangladesh; Dr. Sania Ahsan, physician; Sadaf Saaz Siddique, cultural philanthropist; Tahmina Rahman, golfer; Zara Jabeen Mahbub, Senior Vice President, Head of Communication and Service Quality, Brac Bank Ltd; Runa Khan, Social Entrepreneur, Friendship NGO; Eeshita Azad; Communications Specialist and Art Organiser; Sabrina Shaheed, Principal, Sir John Wilson School; Mita Chowdhury, versatile and critically acclaimed actor; Munize Manzur, writer and teacher, Sunbeams School; Nadia Samdani, Co-founder and President, Samdani Art Foundation; Nahid Osman, celebrity chef; Nazia Andaleeb Preema, visual artist; and Sabrina Islam, entrepreneur, Managing Director, Lily Apparels Ltd
Pride also launched and unveiled their photo book 'Pride of Bangladesh' and arranged an excellent fashion show consisting the three unique Pride Limited collections – Signature collection, Pride Girls and Ethnic Men. The exclusive fashion show was staged before the elite guests present at the event.
