PRIDE GIRLS

Revolutionising fast fashion of Bangladesh

Pride Girls has taken Dhaka city by storm. Funk, fun and comfort - the latest Pride Group venture has it all. The clothing line evokes rebellious creativity and sensuous charm in each of its products, designed and manufactured completely in Bangladesh. The wide range of tunics and contemporary ethnic wear is here for the trendsetting young fashionista!

Pride Group has launched a specialised fabric called viscose voile, which is hundred percent cotton man-made cellulose fibre. The fabric is developed and produced by Pride Group, and it is the softest, most comfortable fabric to wear this spring and summer. It is a great alternative to the cheaper and hairy version of viscose voile, commonly known as linen. The majority outfits of Pride Girls are made from this superfine viscose voile. Polyesters are also used.

The latest of technologies have been used for the digital printing of the outfits. Geometric and floral prints can be seen in many of the tunics. There are relics of urban life, such as, sunglasses, guns and telephones present in the prints too.

For Pohela Boishakh, the clothing line is introducing outfits that present the traditional in a new form. The tunics are cut in European inspired patterns, with elements of Bengali culture. There are embroideries and digital prints of the traditional "hath patha," "dotara," colourful masks in dazzling reds, whites, blacks, pinks and neon inspired hues.
The one piece tunics are cut in figure flattering shapes with simple round and boat shaped necklines. High-low and asymmetrical cuts in the knee length tunics are used to reflect the global trends in fashion. Leather patches, metallic accents and hip buttons add fun glamour to the outfits. The tunics are light and airy, perfect for spring and upcoming summer.

Viscose leggings can be worn with the tunics. The Pride Girls leggings do not lose shape after a few washes, which is a common complaint about the leggings available at street markets and shops selling rejected materials. Moreover, the leggings are soft and comfortable, and are resistant to tears.

The scarves available at Pride Girls are ecstatic and dreamy. Photographs of actual flowers were rendered into digital prints for designing these statement scarves. You can pair a scarf with a tunic of your choice and leggings, and you will be all set.

Pride Girls offers high quality outfits with exceptional design. The price range of the outfits is from Tk. 1000-3000. The neo-traditional approach of intertwining traditional and multicultural elements with modern and trendy designs establishes the brand as a thought leader of fashion. It is redefining the meaning of Bangladeshi fashion by creating products which are designed by Bangladeshis, made from fabrics developed in the country, and inspired from local and global cultures.

Get your Pride Girls outfit at outlets in Banani 11, Dhanmondi 4, Rapa Plaza, Gausia and New Market. Check out Facebook.com/PrideLimitedBangladesh for regular updates and fashion inspiration.
