Eid is almost here, and still everyone has 'a lot to do'. One of the core items in the 'to do' lists is 'a mandatory Salon trip'.
As usual, everyone is keeping the Salon trip aside as a 'last chore' before Eid, which is of course not a good idea.
Salons would be fully packed, and a lot of rush would follow. Customers would need to stand in long queue with a token and utmost frustration.
But, there is a super smart way of avoiding the hassle, only if you want to.
After talking to the leading beauty salons in the Capital for both men and women, it has been found that using some smart techniques can help you in avoiding the full stress.
Go Pro
If you are a Salon butterfly, and visit the Salon every fortnight, you have an upper hand. In most cases, there is always someone who is your favorite beautician and in such cases you can personally call them and fix an appointment which is convenient for both you and your beautician. However, in cases you are not a Salon person, you need to act like an expert here. Call and fix an appointment at your convenient time and just drop in.
No Appointment Rule
Talking to Farzana Shakil Makeover Salon, Persona & Red it has been discovered that although some are taking prior appointments, many are only entertaining customers in a first come first serve basis. In such instances, drop in to the Salon during odd hours. An off peak hour to be in the Salon would be the noon time from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, said Farhana, executive at Quebella. So just sneak out silently, and drop into the Salon at off peak hours. No hassle, guaranteed!
Get Things Done
In cases of both males and females it is advisable to get haircuts at least a week before Eid, says Shamima, HR at Farzana Shakil Makeover Salon. To avoid any hassle during last two-three days before Eid, you can squeeze out some time from your shopping schedule, and get your haircut done. One mission down! Besides, it has also been advised that threading can be done at least three or four days before Eid.
On questions if doing threading so early would be logical, Farhana said although growth of facial hair depends from person to person, but on a rough average, anyone can do it at least three/four days before Eid.
In cases of facial, body spa, manicure and pedicure for both males and females, she advised to get them done at least three/four days before Eid, because they take a lot of time, and getting such services during the peak hours is difficult for unavailability of manpower.
Children
Hairdresser China from Hong Kong beauty parlour in Dhanmondi has advised that children's hairdressing should be done at least a week before Eid, in cases of both male and female.
Adornment
All the salons have suggested keeping Eid Mehedi adornment for the day before Eid. For those who are going to Salon, or those who want to get it done themselves, such adornment should be done as the last chore before the festivity begins. However, any piercing is not advised to be done during this Eid rush specially to avoid any unexpected infections.
Therefore, keeping in mind the few tricks can save a lot of time, and lot of frustration before the happy festival.
