Venue: Restaurants from Banani, Gulshan, Uttara, Dhanmondi, Mirpur, Khilgaon, Bailey Road and other parts of the city
Restaurant Week is a popular concept around the world, a happening event in big cities like New York, Chicago, Michigan, Singapore, Hong-Kong, etc. every year. And it's happening in Dhaka for the first time, from 28 May to 4 June.
Certain restaurants, who will register with Dhaka Foodies, will offer a special "Platter/Deal" that will showcase their signature specialty. No matter what platter you chose, it will cost either Tk499, Tk999, or Tk.1499 per person, including VAT.
So if you visit any of the registered restaurants during Dhaka Restaurant Week (28 May – 4 June) you will not only get their best dishes but also get them at a fixed price (Tk499 or Tk999 or Tk1499). Debut show by the Ghaashphoring Choir

Formed in January 2015, the Ghaashphoring Choir is a group of singers singing vocal arrangements of traditional contemporary and original songs. Their repertoire includes SD Burman, Kazi Nazrul Islam and other popular renditions. Catch their debut performance at the Red Shift Cafe on 29 May, 2015 at 7pm! It's a SHE thing

Inspired by The Vagina Monologues, comes the collection of stories from women and girls from around Dhaka. This theatrical production showcases the struggles of a woman in a Bangladeshi society - beginning from the second we wake up and put on our clothes and walk out on the streets to catcalls, jeers and shameless name-calling to the heart wrenching yet unchanging sexual abuse that goes by unpunished every single day.
All funds raised through these performances will be directed to the grassroots organisation Himawanti - a local NGO working in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Summer Wind: Musical show

You will once again be treated to a performance by some of the finest stalwarts of the Dhaka music scene! They will present a whole range of classics from the jazz, the blues and the pop era, which should make for an evening to be savoured.
