Wildlife breeding

This freshwater turtle (scientific name batagur baska) laid 32 eggs at Karamjal wildlife breeding centre in Chandpai Range of the Sundarbans in Bagerhat on Monday. The eggs have been kept in sand for natural incubation and hatchlings will come out in 60 to 65 days, said Azad Kabir, officer in charge of the breeding centre. Photo: Partha Chakrabortty
