Disregarding risks, schoolchildren are forced to cross a shaky, broken bamboo bridge at Danorpara village in Jhinaigati upazila of Sherpur. More than 5,000 people of seven villages use the bridge to cross this channel of the Malijhi river. Two years ago, a wooden bridge was built with funding of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) but it was washed away by water from the hills. No initiative was taken afterwards. The photo was taken on Tuesday. Photo: Banglar Chokh
