A woman blows a conch while others light lamps during the celebration of Dashai Karam puja, a major festival of the local ethnic minority community Turi, in Madhaipur area of Chapainawabganj’s Gomostapur upazila on Thursday evening. Community leaders said they celebrated the festival after at least 40 years as they could not arrange the event due to poverty and lack of awareness. The two-day event ended yesterday morning.
