Farmers unloading vegetables from boats at Chorar Bazar in Sylhet’s Kanaighat upazila. Since independence, this vegetable market operates from winter till monsoon. Growers from across the region bring all kinds of veggies on boats to sell them to wholesale traders, who then send the produce to markets across Sylhet and Dhaka.
