The bamboo bridge on the Chhetra river in Brahmanbaria’s Aruail serves as the sole road connection to Sarail upazila town for the people of 15 villages in Aruail and Pakshimul. Locals have been demanding a concrete bridge there for years since they have to use the bamboo bridge even to carry their farm produce, besides travel for other purposes.
