Snapshots of Violent Acts by Jamaat-Shibir Men

Activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir continued their orgy of destruction across the country yesterday, following Thursday's pronouncement of the death sentence to Jamaat leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee for committing crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War. Photos show 1) burning of vehicles at Dargah Gate in Sylhet, 2) arson at a motorcycle shop in the same city, 3) torching a covered van on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Narayanganj and 4) a vegetable-laden truck on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway at Satkania in Chittagong, 5) road blockade near Satkania, 6) procession with sticks and axes at Hamdah in Jhenidah, and 7) fighting with law enforcers at Alkar Moar in Rajshahi city.
