A 12-year-old boy was killed in a landslide triggered by heavy rain in Chattogram city's Sholoshahar early yesterday.

The victim, Raihan, was the son of Din Mohammad.

Nazim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Panchlaish Police Station, said the incident happened in Green View Residential area in the dead of night amid heavy rain.

"The boy was sleeping inside their shop anda huge chunk of earth fell on the shop leaving him dead on the spot," he added.
