A youth wearing a white t-shirt was seen boarding Fardin on a human haulier. There were four other people on the vehicle which was moving towards Tarabo.

The driver of the human haulier and his associates have been kept under surveillance.

Harun Or Rashid, additional commissioner of detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), disclosed the findings while talking to reporters today.

"It is not yet known where he was killed," he added.

Rapid Action Battalion earlier said that they found involvement of Chonpara slum drug dealer Raihan Mahmud and his gang behind the murder.

Fardin's cell phone location was also traced near the Chonpara slum around 2:34am. But the motive will be clear once Raihan and others involved are arrested.

A DB official investigating the case, said three passengers of the human haulier which left from Jatrabari were dropped off at Biswa road and then another passenger was dropped off at the next stoppage. But from that spot, it takes at least an hour to reach Chonpara, the official said requesting anonymity.

"So, Fardin's presence in Chonpara slum around 2:30am is not possible, and thus it is not true," the official added.

Investigators also said it is also not true that Fardin's body was taken to a private car at Chonpara.

The decomposing body of Fardin, a third-year student of Civil Engineering department of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), was recovered from Shitalakkhya river in Siddhirganj of Narayanganj on November 7, three days after he went missing.
