‘Include all in the business plan for the 2023-24 fiscal year’

Dwip Unnayan Sangstha, a non-profit organisation, working for the betterment of the underprivileged, urged the authorities concerned to include all stakeholders in the business plan for the 2023-24 fiscal year.

The call was made aiming to avoid repeating the mistakes of the previous year and strive to rebuild in a manner that leaves no one behind.

The executive members of the organisation made the call on the first day of their three-day business plan meeting, which is ongoing at the Brac Learning Centre in Cumilla, according to a press release, signed by Basanti Saha, Coordinator of Research and Documentation at Dwip Unnayan Sangstha.

Md Rafiqul Alam, Aminur Rasul Babul, Md Seraj Uddin, and AKM Aminul Islam, executive director, executive council member, chartered accountant, and member of the advisory council of the organisation, respectively were present at the meeting, among others.

Additionally, around 70 officials from the organisation are taking part in the meeting.

Mentionable, Dwip Unnayan Sangstha commenced its rehabilitation work in Hatia, Monpura, and Bhola after the 1970 cyclone and Liberation War. Over the past 50 years, they have expanded their activities and currently implement various programmes, including microcredit programs, across six districts.

They focus on income enhancement, social services, and providing immediate response to disasters. As part of their planning meeting, they intend to open branches in new locations and initiate work on several additional branches.
