New JCD committees formed at 19 private univs

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the BNP, has announced new committees in 19 private universities such as BRAC University and Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.
The announcement came yesterday through a press statement issued by the office secretary of JCD's private university unit.
The announcement follows the first phase, in which JCD formed committees in nine private universities on March 24 this year.
"With the same continuity, we have announced committees in 19 more private universities to strengthen our organisational activities by involving current students," Abu Horayra, president of JCD's private university unit, told The Daily Star.
He added that the organisation already had existing committees in 34 private universities and that the newly formed ones aim to engage currently enrolled students in student politics under the banner of Chhatra Dal. The universities where new committees have been announced are: BRAC University, Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, University of Asia Pacific, Southeast University, Northern University Bangladesh, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, World University of Bangladesh, Primeasia University, Presidency University, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Bangladesh University, The People's University of Bangladesh, Manarat International University, Gono Bishwabidyalay, Asian University, and City University.
