Chief justice calls for continued media support in judicial reforms

Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed today called on the media to maintain its support for ongoing judicial reforms, emphasising the importance of collaboration in strengthening the justice system.

He made the remarks while unveiling the cover of Projonmo 24, the annual publication of the Law Reporters' Forum (LRF), at his Supreme Court office.

"We are working towards reforming the judiciary. The media has been playing a supportive role in this effort. I hope this cooperation will continue," the chief justice said.

The event was attended by Supreme Court Appellate Division Registrar Md Hasanuzzaman, the Chief Justice's Personal Secretary Shariful Alam Bhuiyan, and SC Special Officer Muajjem Hussain.

From the LRF, Acting President Hasan Jabed, General Secretary Moneruzzaman Mission, former General Secretary Ahmed Sarwar Hossain Bhuiyan, Joint Secretary Alamgir Miah, and Organising Secretary SM Noor Mohammad were present, according to an LRF press release.
