Khaleda's condition not suitable for discharge from hospital: doctor

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is under "close observation" of doctors in a cabin at Evercare Hospital for the last 26 days, her personal physician Professor AZM Zahid Hossain said today.

"Doctors are also checking and monitoring her on a daily basis," he told The Daily Star.

Zahid said her condition was not suitable to get discharged from hospital. It is also uncertain how long she needs hospitalisation.

He said she was hospitalised on August 9 for medical tests and since then a medical team has been conducting her health checkup regularly.
