Budget does not reflect determination to build new Bangladesh: Jamaat's ATM Masum

In an immediate reaction to the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2025–26, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Acting Secretary General ATM Masum said in a statement that the determination to rebuild a new Bangladesh following the mass uprising has not been adequately reflected in the proposed budget.

Like the previous budgets, this one is also conventional, he said in a statement, adding that there is not much notable difference between the proposed budget and the original budget for the fiscal year 2024–25.

Although spending has not increased this time, it has not decreased significantly either, and the budget lacks any touch of novelty, the Jamaat leader said.
