BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's angiogram has been completed at the Evercare Hospital and stenting was done on an artery with 95 percent blockage, said her personal physician Dr Zahid Hossain today (June 11, 2022).

"Khaleda Zia was diagnosed with several blockages in her heart. One of these blocks was 95 percent. A ring has been put on it, he told the The Daily Star this afternoon.

Earlier in the day, Dr Zahid said Khaleda Zia's condition is not critical but it is still "unstable".

"As a doctor, I'd like to say that Khaleda Zia's condition can take any turn at any time," Dr Zahid said. "She is currently under the care of Dr Shahabuddin Talukder. For the next 72 hours, she will be monitored at the CCU. Before that, nothing can be said for certain."

Khaleda Zia was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital with cardiac problems around 3am.
