Masum elected president, Nannu GS of Bangladesh Jubo Union

Khan Asaduzzman Masum and Jahangir Alam Nannu were elected president and general secretary respectively of Bangladesh Jubo Union central committee.

M Ibrahim was made organising secretary of the newly formed committee.

The 61-member committee was announced at the 12th national council of the organisation held at the BMA Bhaban in the capital today.

A total of 400 delegates across the country took part in the council.

Shahidullah Chowdhury, former president of the Communist Party of Bangladesh and a renowned labour leader, inaugurated the national council at Shahbagh in the capital yesterday.

While addressing the inaugural session, speakers called upon all to wage a mass struggle for voting rights, reduce the prices of daily commodities, return the siphoned money back, eliminate the discrimination of the rich and poor, and end corruption.
