Mobile internet users near Nayapaltan facing connection issues

Mobile phone users who are currently near the venue of BNP's rally in the capital's Nayapaltan have been claiming that they are facing trouble connecting to the internet.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has directed the telecom operators to keep the 3G and 4G data services shut for several hours from 12:00 noon, said sources who with knowledge of the developments.

BTRC officials cannot be reached for comment.

They had earlier said mobile voice and data services become slow in areas where there are large pools of users gathered.
