Law enforcers today arrested four suspected members of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Abdullahpur, on the outskirts of Dhaka.

The arrestees are identified as Mohibul Islam, 22, Md Mozzamel Huq alias Bilal, 34, Md Shamim Ahmed, 27, and Md Delwar Hossain, 37.

Police filed a case against the arrestees under the Anti-Terrorism Act with West Uttara Model Police Station and sought a 10-day remand after they were produced before a Dhaka court, Masudur Rahman, DMP Deputy Commissioner (media) told The Daily Star.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a raid in the area last night and made the arrests.

Two chapatis, 96 detonators, 10 batteries and equipments for making bombs were recovered from the spot, law enforcers claimed.
