Three victims of Pallabi water tank explosion from six days ago have succumbed to their injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Surat Ali, 62, and his daughter Aleya Begum, 30, died in the hospital today while his granddaughter Mili Akhtar, 4, died at 6:00pm yesterday, said Dr Partha Shankar Paul, a resident surgeon.

Ten people including six of a family were injured in an underground indoor water tank explosion in a building in Pallabi area in the capital last Tuesday night.

Fire service officials suspected that gas from a leaked pipe beneath the tank caused the explosion at the six-storey building in block-E of Mirpur 12.
