Launch services at Sadarghat terminal has resumed, following four hours of halt in strike.

Agitated workers abstained from work and demonstrated for bail of a launch master, who is an accused in an accident case, Shah Alam Bhuiyan, president of Bangladesh Noujan Sramik Federation, told The Daily Star.

The workers withdrew after a marine court granted bail to the launch master at 2:00pm, said Chowdhury AshikulAlam, general secretary of the federation.

Since 10:00am, no water vessels left Sadarghat terminal till 2:00pm, Alamgir Kabir, joint director of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), told The Daily Star.
